Welcome to Southfields
'Residents consider it a true London village, with family-sized homes and decent shops, parks and travel links. It has good primary schools, a low crime rate and a smattering of minor celebrities. For once it is the residents, rather than the estate agents, who call the area a “well-kept secret”.'

About Southfields Village

Southfields lies between Wimbledon and Putney. It grew from pastures and farms (literally the “south fields”) into a thriving residential neighbourhood within a couple of years.
The arrival of the railway in 1889 (now the Wimbledon branch of the District Line) encouraged the builders to move in and create the distinctive Southfields “Grid” of terraced houses.

Gateway to the world famous Wimbledon Tennis Championships since 1922, Southfields Village hosts players, officials, media and 'The Queue'

Southfields residents cherish their local green space - Wimbledon Park is a beautiful, Grade II listed park with large playing fields, a lake, athletics stadium, volleyball and tennis courts and a bowls pavilion.
Just up the hill are wild and woody Wimbledon and Putney Commons - 1140 acres of grass, heathlands and woods - a miniature countryside in the middle of South West London, and home to the Wombles.
